Sabah Tourism Board (STB) has launched its new corporate site, offering companies in the private sector industry data, marketing activities data, as well as media and resources on tourism development.  The site also serves to provide industry support primarily on business events, promotion, and the marketing of Sabah as a tourism destination. The project kicked off in November last year and went live this month. A+M has reached out to STB for additional information about its new website.

Noredah Othman, general manager of Sabah Tourism Board said the project was the first of many steps in realising the state government's five-year plan to digitalise the state public services. This is part of its efforts in reaching the Smart Digital Government status by 2024, which was announced by the Sabah State Secretary in March this year..

“We believe this platform will further enhance our effort to promote Sabah as a tourism destination. By creating a virtual bridge for the private sectors, corporation between the government agency and private sectors will be more efficient especially during this age and period,” she added.

Earlier this year, STB unveiled its new branding, Enchanting Sabah, conceptualised by its communication and digital division, as part of STB's intention to create a clean and straightforward logo that could best represent the state. Under this new branding, STB disclosed that the new promotional collaterals would be churned out throughout the year to compliment and substantiate its marketing efforts.
