Giving Hongkongers a running start into the new year (or perhaps away from 2020), FEED HK and Project-108, with full support from livi Bank, have teamed up to launch RUN INTO 2021, the city's first-ever New Year's Eve virtual run.

Taking place across a two-week span from 31 December 2020 (Thursday) to 15 January 2021 (Friday), Hongkongers can get a leg-up on next year's resolutions with a vibrant sprint that features no limitations according to location or time.

The celebration will kick off with a countdown party on Project-108's YouTube channel, with a variety of entertaining programming that will usher in the new year, and then participants will have two weeks to take part in a 3KM Fun Run, 5KM Power Run or 10KM Achiever Run using any mobile app with a pedometer function. After emailing result@run-into.com a screen-cap of their run record with date, time, distance and a photo, runners will receive a personalised e-certificate for taking part.

Participants of RUN INTO 2021 will receive a "runner's pack" featuring a souvenir tee, a finisher medal, three MaskOn masks and discount vouchers to supporting brands. The event's sponsors include Casetify, KKBOX, Lane-eight, MaskOn and more. A portion of all proceeds will go to the Early Psychosis Foundation, which offers psychosis intervention services, training, and public awareness programmes.

“Everyone can start their new year without the limits of time and location. RUN INTO 2021 encourages every one of us to take up new roles and new tasks to challenge oneself, to ring in 2021 anytime and anywhere with sweat and determination," said Kim Yuen, founder of FEED HK and Project-108.
