Rosewood HK celebrates 5 years with culinary collaborations

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, Rosewood Hong Kong is invited guests to take a front row seat to embrace a series of culinary collaborations, pop-ups and masterclasses in March as part of its “Front row” campaign.

From 19 March until 30 March 2024, the hotel will host a total of three masterclasses, 10 culinary and beverage collaborations and pop-ups, and three exclusive wine dinners to shine a spotlight on five years of unrivalled gastronomy, refined beverage craft and world-class hospitality.

As part of the initiatives, Rosewood Hong Kong will partner with Asaya Kitchen by Chef Fabio Nompleggio and Mume by Chef Richie Lin from Taipei, to showcase sustainable cooking on 19 and 20 March 2024.

The alignment between Asaya Kitchen’s focus on sustainability and Mume’s dedication to sustainable dining embodies a shared commitment to honouring the environment while offering guests an extraordinary epicurean experience that seamlessly integrates principles of eco-consciousness and culinary excellence.

Mume, which means “plum blossom”, offers fresh and flavourful dishes that pay homage to lesser-known local ingredients, combined with modern European techniques. Chef Richie Lin, with experience from renowned restaurants worldwide, presents seasonal ingredients infused with Nordic influences and modern culinary methods.

As part of the anniversary festivities, Rosewood Hong Kong will unveil a limited time pop-up at Butterfly Patisserie and chef Natsuko Shoji from Eté in Tokyo, Japan. Shoji will create her signature mango cake exclusively for Butterfly Patisserie in Hong Kong, available for pick-up between 19 and 21 March for three days, limited to 30 cakes per day.

To celebrate Hong Kong’s culinary heritage and culture, Rosewood Hong Kong has created a special pop-up experience between Holt’s Café and Hop Sze Restaurant from 20 until 22 March, a local restaurant from Sai Wan Ho celebrated for its signature stir-fry wok style.

This partnership endeavours to showcase nostalgic local dishes that hold a special place in the hearts of locals, bringing the beloved Hong Kong style café experience to the refined setting of Rosewood Hong Kong. The collaboration underscores the hotel’s A Sense of Place philosophy, encapsulating the ethos of each Rosewood property by embracing a distinct reflection of the location’s history, culture, and sensibilities.

This exclusive partnership between Holt’s Cafe and Hop Sze Restaurant seeks to celebrate and preserve the authentic flavours and culinary traditions that embody the rich tapestry of Hong Kong’s gastronomic legacy.

Customers can also dive into the world of international art and design with the inaugural event on 19 March at the M+ Gallery, featuring Amsterdam-based architect Piet Boon and artist Frederik Molenschot, Hong Kong architect Rocco Yim, Trish Luyckx, chief design and project services officer at Rosewood Hotel Group, and moderated by Marisa Yiu, executive director and lead curator of Design Trust.

On 23 March, Rosewood Hong Kong has curated a special masterclass series, led by some of the influential names within Rosewood hotels to celebrate craftsmanship.
