Entertainment network Rewind Networks has launched HITS and HITS MOVIES on IndiHome, Telkom Indonesia’s nationwide fixed broadband service delivering internet, telephone, and video entertainment. HITS and HITS MOVIES will be available on IndiHome TV and USeeTV GO app services. Both channels will be available in HD with Bahasa Indonesia subtitles, expanding the network’s reach to more than 23 million homes across 15 countries in Asia.
HITS and HITS MOVIES will feature the best TV shows and blockbuster movies from Hollywood and International majors such as NBCUniversal, Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, MGM Studios, ViacomCBS, Lionsgate, Fremantle, BBC, and ITV Studios.
Avi Himatsinghani, CEO of Rewind Networks, said that it is very happy to launch its services on IndiHome, delivering its beloved channels to Telkom's vast network of broadband-connected homes in Indonesia.
In response to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Himatsinghani said that the channels' launch in Indonesia is part of Rewind Networks' plan to progressively expand across greater Southeast Asia. Rewind Networks is also looking to expand into other markets such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Laos. Himatsinghani added that the network will work closely with its affiliate platform partners to drive marketing and awareness of its channels and shows. "With Indihome, we will work closely with their marketing teams for cross-platform promotions and social media to their subscribers. We also have pan-regional media partnerships with global networks such as Discovery, Warner Media, and A+E Networks for cross-promotions of our blockbuster movies and hit tv shows," she added.
Rewind Networks will measure its ROI primarily based on affiliate fees and will rely on pan-regional advertisers to boost its reach, according to Himatsinghani. He further explained that Rewind Networks leverages its curated playlists and economical value to stand out from its competitors. Unlike streaming platforms that offer a deep library of on-demand shows and movies, HITS and HITS MOVIES offer a curated linear playlist of shows and movies that will, in turn, give rise to loyal viewers that will stay with the network. In addition, Rewind Networks focuses on delivering its services bundles with local channels in each market, distributed as part of a basic TV package.
"For example, on Astro and TM's unifi in Malaysia, we are on the basic package, same for StarHub and Singtel in Singapore, and similarly in all other markets and platforms. This delivers mass reach at an economical value to basic pay TV viewers who are still watching a lot of television," she said.
