Reuter Communications appoints Yalding Xu as director

Luxury intelligence, digital, communications and marketing agency Reuter Communications has announced the appointment of Yalding Xu as director.Based in Shanghai, Xu joins Reuter from world-leading cruise group NCLH (Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings) as director of marketing, China, where he led brand communications, trade marketing, and integrated marketing campaigns.Xu commented, “I’m very excited to join such a fast-growing, integrated business that provides international luxury brands with the strategic solutions they need for understanding this highly unique market.”It’s hoped that Xu’s 15 years of experience in branding and communications will bolster the business’ China expertise and integrated campaign and digital offering. Yalding has had previous roles at BBDO as a brand consultant, at the National Basketball Association as a journalist and editor, and at China’s LI-NING brand as a digital and PR expert.“Our luxury travel and lifestyle practice has been one of our fastest growing businesses, as more of our clients look to capture the attention of China’s affluent consumers via new channels and platforms. We’re excited to have Yalding join us to further enhance our local expertise in this area as well as bolster our growing digital and integrated communications capabilities,” said Shashin Surti, general manager, Shanghai.The appointment comes soon after Reuter released a new insight report produced by Reuter: Intelligence in partnership with ILTM. It showed how Asia-Pacific travellers are now putting a focus on health and wellness products during trips.
