Quality HealthCare strengthens functions in latest revamp

Hong Kong's healthcare system has been under pressure to keep up with patients' increasing needs, while the COVID-19 has also spurred the medical sector to innovate ways to handle the pandemic. To address these issues, Quality HealthCare has strengthened its digital offerings by launching an enhanced mobile app alongside new virtual initiatives.

Aimed at making healthcare access easier and safer without compromising on quality, efficiency or reliability of services, the enhanced app offers a wide range of functions, including e-ticketing for general practitioner consultations and e-booking for other services such as specialists, traditional Chinese medicine, physiotherapy, and dentists.

To meet the increasing demand for virtual consultations, Quality HealthCare has also launched in-app video consultation services, which reduces the need for non-essential clinic visits. Amid the ongoing pandemic, the company has been providing COVID-19 RT-PCR testing, with an option for video consultations and sample collection bottle delivery and pick up courier service to ease community concerns and support the overall need for more screening.

As prevention is always better than cure, Quality HealthCare has also launched virtual workshops focusing on wellness and health. A number of training videos will be offered to patients as advised by registered physiotherapists with an aim to empower their rehabilitation.

"With our new mobile app, we will be centering healthcare support around the patients themselves instead of the physical clinics, bringing services closer to our customers through digitalisation while maintaining our high clinical standards for which we are respected," said Elaine Chu, general manager of Quality HealthCare.

Apart from these offerings, Quality HealthCare will also roll out in-app live workshops in November, covering Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, physiotherapy, mental health and dietetics. These workshops will feature medical professionals who will share vital information and advice as well as interacting with audiences in real time.

Lastly, the virtual care team will start operating in December. Users can receive instant replies regarding various health issues from a team of healthcare professionals through the in-app chatroom function.

“As we enter the new normal, we will continue to invest in exploring the best ways to address the current environment and provide services that elevate healthcare experiences – strengthening our role as a trusted healthcare partner for people in Hong Kong," said Chu.

Whilethe  Quality HealthCare app was launched in 2018, the enhanced version expands greatly on the original functions with digitalised services and a mix of online-to-offline solutions.

On the marketing side, the app will be primarily promoted through Facebook and via direct notices sent to customers. Quality HealthCare will also arrange introductory sessions with corporate workplace ambassadors to guide customers through the set-up process and demonstrate the app’s services.
