QSR Brands has partnered with foodpanda to complement existing delivery services by KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants. The partnership expects to grow the number of delivery outlets for both KFC and Pizza Hut to about 480 by end of 2018 and to an estimated 730 by the end of 2019.Foodpanda’s delivery services for KFC and Pizza Hut will be rolled out in stages beginning September 2018 in the Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Penang. The service will also offer customers 24-hour deliveries from selected KFC stores. Customers can place their delivery orders via multiple channels across KFC, Pizza Hut and foodpanda platforms. Currently there are over 320 KFC and Pizza Hut outlets in Malaysia offering delivery services through their own platforms.“This partnership with foodpanda is a progressive step towards expanding our reach by growing our delivery services across our two main quick service restaurants brands, KFC and Pizza Hut. This will provide a new revenue stream by serving not only our non-delivery outlets but also complement existing delivery outlets,” Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, managing director, QSR Brands, said."We are proud to add two of the biggest names in quick service restaurants in Malaysia, KFC and Pizza Hut, to our stable of over 1,900 restaurants and we hope to contribute to the growth in KFC’s and Pizza Hut’s delivery business,” Sayantan Das, managing director, foodpanda Malaysia said. This partnership follows foodpanda's collaboration with McDonald’s Malaysia to expand the latter’s McDelivery network, in a bid to extend the reach of McDelivery by penetrating new areas through foodpanda’s delivery network. Earlier this year, foodpanda launched its 24-hour delivery service, following its intention to expand across Malaysia.
