QMS has named Ben Dillon-Smith as its first creative director, a newly created role aimed at strengthening the company’s in-house creative capabilities and driving innovation across its digital out-of-home network.
Reporting to chief marketing officer Tennille Burt, Dillon-Smith will lead the strategic creative agenda at QMS, working across sales, strategy and marketing to develop campaigns through the company’s creative services arm, QUBE.
The appointment signals QMS’ intent to deepen its creative offering as competition intensifies in the digital outdoor space. Dillon-Smith brings more than 20 years’ experience across TV, film, radio, podcasts and experiential, including a decade at Southern Cross Austereo where he served as creative lead across 2DayFM, FoxFM and the Hit Network.
His freelance work has included campaigns for Samsung, NRMA, SBS, McDonald’s, Woolworths, David Jones and AAMI.
“QMS has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative and effective creative solutions,” Burt said. “Ben’s addition will help us elevate that work even further.”
Dillon-Smith said he was energised by the opportunity to push creative boundaries in a fast-evolving media channel. “Outdoor has never been more relevant or exciting, and QMS has built a reputation for pushing the creative boundaries in Australia through its growing digital network,” he said.
