Publicis Media China promotes Vivian Zhu to dual CEO role

Publicis Media China has promoted Vivian Zhu, CEO of Blue449, to a dual leadership role that will see her helm Zenith China while continuing in her current role as CEO of Blue449 China.According to Publicis' press release, the elevation to handle an expanded portfolio "is a testament to Zhu's stellar track record as a leader as well as the company’s belief in nurturing talent by promoting from within its ranks."Based in Shanghai, Zhu reports to Bertilla Teo, CEO of Publicis Media, Greater China, and assumes her expanded role immediately.With a decade spent in the Groupe, Zhu worked in New York and San Francisco across various agency networks before returning to Shanghai in 2013, where she took on the role of managing director at Starcom Mediavest Group Greater China. She subsequently ascended to the role of chief digital officer at the network. In June 2017, Zhu was promoted to CEO of Blue 449 China, helping clients innovate and grow their digital business in China, as well as leading transformative initiatives that align with the agency’s vision of being open-sourced and innovation-led.“Zhu has played an instrumental role in accelerating Publicis Media China’s overall data and analytics products, as well as driving innovative solutions for our clients at Blue449 China. With Zhu leading Zenith China, I am confident she will bring a renewed perspective and continue delivering a new kind of ROI for our clients’ businesses,” said Teo.At the same time, Ellen To, current CEO for Zenith China, will transition into a consultant for the agency. To's strength in building strong local client relationships places her in good stead as she continues to oversee several key Zenith accounts in China.
