Prophet's chief cultural insights officer Tom Doctoroff departs

Prophet's chief cultural insights officer Tom Doctoroff has announced his departure on his personal LinkedIn account.

Doctoroff wrote a post on 24 February on his account, saying "New adventure! After two enriching years at Prophet, the global brand and marketing consultancy, I'm excited to announce I will start a new gig and drive into the future."



He will move to electric vehicle startup Evelozcity as global head of marketing. Based in Los Angeles, Doctoroff will remain an advisor for Prophet in the future.

Doctoroff joined Prophet in 2017 as a senior partner. Prior to this role, he spent 24 years as the long-standing Asia CEO of J. Walter Thompson.He has built a reputation on being an expert on the China market and has published books on the subject including Billions: Selling to the New Chinese Consumer in 2005 and What Chinese Want: Culture, Communism and the Modern Chinese Consumer in 2012.
