Tom Doctoroff has been appointed as senior partner at Prophet, splitting his time between New York and Hong Kong.
Doctoroff was formerly the long-standing Asia CEO of J. Walter Thompson where he spent 24 years.
“Tom is a renowned business leader and global brand builder, with a deep understanding of Chinese consumers. His expertise will add enormous value to our clients as they look to increase their relevance in Asia. Tom’s specific knowledge of Chinese brands and consumers will be a critical part of Prophet’s continued expansion in the region,” said Jay Milliken, senior partner and head of Prophet’s Asian region.
Doctoroff has worked with top corporations such as Unilever, Ford, HSBC, Ford, Mattel and Kellogg and Asian companies including Singapore Tourism Board, Nikon, Unicharm and San Miguel.
In China, Doctoroff has partnered with leading local enterprises including Lenovo, China Unicom, 999 pharmaceuticals, Yili dairy, Anta sporting apparel and Alibaba.
