Profero moves global CEO to Asia

Profero will shift its global CEO role to Asia to service what is said is a region now outpacing its US and European counterparts.

From next week, Profero co-founder and global CEO Wayne Arnold will relocate from New York to Singapore to focus on growing Profero's Asia Pacific operations across its regional network of Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney.

Speaking to Marketing from New York last night, Arnold (pictured) said 2013 would be the first year Profero's Asia operation will be larger than EMEA and the Americas.

But he added the move was also in response to significant growth opportunities right across the region.

"Whilst many agencies have publicly stated their commitment to the Asia Pacific region, Profero becomes one of the only major global agencies to have such a senior team currently on the ground," he said.

"2013 will be the first year our Asia Pacific operations will be larger than EMEA and the Americas.

"This is a major milestone and credit to our talented team especially when you consider we are seeing considerable growth in all our regions," he said.

"Profero's Asia Pacific growth has been fuelled by North American and European business looking to expand into the region, and we anticipate this will continue."

Profero launched in London in March 1998 by Wayne and his brother Daryl. The agency has since expanded into America, Asia, Australia and further into Europe.
