Printing company Epson Singapore has entered the fashion industry. This is through showcasing Asia-based designers’ digitally printed collections at fashion shows. In partnership with Happy Marketer as its social media marketing agency, Epson shared live event coverage from fashion shows around the world via social media. So far, Happy Marketer has provided real-time event coverage on social media for FESPA Asia 2017 (Bangkok), Fashion Scout (London Fashion Week) and Britain’s Top Designer Competition 2017.According to the agency, from the time period of 1 February 2017 to 12 March 2017, relevant social media posts about the events have received 217,372 interactions on Facebook. One such post about Britain’s Top Designer 2017 in London, John Herrera x Epson fashion show in Manila, for example, has garnered 60,000 interactions on Facebook. The agency also provided live event coverage on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for FashionIsTech from 16 to 17 March 2017 in Singapore.“We chose to partner with Happy Marketer as we were looking for a dedicated social media agency with a strong digital background. The agency would have to understand and take into account the creation, repurposing, amplification and syndication of content that will work across different social media channels,” Angeline Ang, Epson’s department head, regional brand and communications, said.“All my life, I had associated Epson with office printers but when we got a chance to pitch for the account, the client was kind enough to give us a tour of their Centre of Print Innovation. That got us massively interested. Epson is transforming the fashion industry through state-of-the-art, enterprise grade printers set to change the dynamics of the industry,” Prantik Mazumdar, managing partner at Happy Marketer, said.
