Printemps, a French chain of department stores, has appointed Hong Kong-based marketing agency Eighty20 to handle its regional sales and marketing for the Greater China region encompassing Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and Taipei.
With effect from 1 January 2024, the appointment will see Eighty20 collaborating closely with its partners in the region to curate an unforgettable luxury shopping experience in the heart of Paris and cater needs of travellers.
Yvonne Ma, the founder and managing director of Eighty20, told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that while there was a pitch process, the appointment was confirmed as a retainer. The planned work is scheduled to be implemented in January 2024.
“Tourism marketing representation is part of Eighty20's DNA. I'm thrilled that we're back on the right track post-COVID and representing Printemps across the entire Greater China region,” Ma said.
Founded in Paris in 1865, Printemps SAS Paris is a French chain of department stores with a focus on beauty, lifestyle, fashion, accessories and men's wear. Currently, it operates 20 stores in France and one store in Doha. While in Asia, its Taipei store closed down in 2004.
Back in July last year, Printemps integrated Alipay+ to offer Asian consumers a convenient and seamless checkout experience with their home e-wallets. AlipayHK and Kakao Pay are now accepted at Printemps Paris, enabling Hong Kong and Korean shoppers to make payments using their most familiar payment app. Moreover, Alipay+ supports other partner e-wallets, including GCash, Touch ‘n Go eWallet and TrueMoney.
Established in 2013, Eighty20 is a marketing agency based in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Beijing. It specialises in providing end-to-end customised B2B and B2C marketing solutions for leading global governments, property developers and destinations.
Its expertise spans three key areas including social media and digital strategy, creative content and brand consultancy. Its clients include brands such as Brand USA, Hawai’i Tourism Authority, The European Union, New World Development, Sino Group, Chinachem Group and Cathay Pacific.
