PRHK has announced a team of next generation leaders who are tasked with driving changes in the work-life balance space for the communications industry.

The task force consists of representatives from international, local, independent and holding group agencies with key leads, including Karolis Adomaitis (pictured right), vice president of Fleishman Hillard; Iris Yeung (pictured second to right), manager of Golin Hong Kong; Sara Cheung (pictured second to left), assistant director of Edelman and Penn Leung (pictured left), director of CCG. The team will provide constructive solutions and three year-long goals to facilitate actionable change.

For example, by the end of the year, it aims to have created a playbook for all member agencies on how to foster a culture of positive work-life balance in the context of the new future of work. Agencies opting in to the initiative will receive a PRHK initiative logo signifying their commitment, and will also be held accountable to certain practices and goals, as devised by the task force.

Also, employees of Hong Kong-based PR agencies with six to 12 years of experience are welcomed into the task force. Jane Morgan, managing director of PRHK agency member Golin Hong Kong, is the executive sponsor of this initiative, supported by Rachel Catanach, chair of the PRHK and senior partner and president for Greater China, Fleishman.

"2020 exacerbated mental health issues, especially with our industry being naturally highly stressful. We have a duty to ensure that we foster a positive and supportive environment for people to work in, offering a healthy work-life balance that allows our teams to produce outstanding work that they are proud of, and that our clients love," said Adomaitis.

“This is the first time that our agencies have come together and the first meeting was filled with energy and positivity. As a united team we are looking forward to making a tangible difference," added Yeung.
