Prasarana CEO steps down

Prasarana Malaysia CEO Masnizam Hisham (pictured) will be stepping down from her role on 2 September 2018. She announced her departure on Facebook, thanking Prasarana for the opportunity to contribute towards the public transport system.Masnizam added that the public transport system has plenty of improvements and changes, greatly impacting the public. She was appointed to the role of president and CEO in January this year, replacing Datuk Seri Azmi Abdul Aziz, whose contract ended on 31 December last year.She was tasked to ensure the success of the Al Mashaaer Al Muqaddassah Metro Metro-Southern Line project in Saudi Arabia, the training of mass rapid transit workers in Jakarta as well as, the Prasarana infrastructure development in areas such as procurement of trains, buses and depots. Masnizam joined the company in 2005.Approximately one month after her appointment, Masnizam reshuffled her senior management team, appointing chief strategy and transformation officer Ezwan Hazli Abdul Malek as group director of special projects.Prasarana Malaysia is responsible for the operations of the Light Rail Transit, Mass Rapid Transit and monorail, among others. It has six subsidiaries including Prime, Rapid Rail, Rapid Bus and Prasarana Integrated Development.
