Pos Malaysia's group CEO exits

Pos Malaysia's group CEO (GCEO) Dato’ Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh (pictured) has resigned, effective 31 December 2017. According to a filing on Bursa Malaysia, Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh expressed his desire to make a career change, having served at Pos Malaysia for five years.

He has also served at DRB-HICOM, the parent company of Pos Malaysia, for 12 years. Replacing him as covering GCEO is Dato’ Azlan bin Shahrim, current group COO, postal and courier, who will report to the board of directors until a suitable candidate is appointed.

According to the filing, Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh played a vital role in the acquisition of logistics-related assets, forming a strategic collaboration with Lazada Malaysia, which is one of the pivotal elements of the newly launched Digital Free Trade Zone by the government. He also forged collaborations with companies such as Tigers Limited of Hong Kong. The filing also stated that Pos Malaysia witnessed consistent improvements in its business operations under Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh's leadership.
