OneConnect Financial Technology, the fintech subsidiary of Chinese insurer Ping An Group, has picked Happy Marketer as its social media partner for one year following a closed door pitch.
The agency will work with Happy Marketer to strengthen its digital brand presence and engagement in Asia. Happy Marketer will also handle the fintech company’s social media channels and focus on creating brand awareness. It will design the distribution and media strategy to maximise the impact of OneConnect’s content, as well as work on producing influencer videos and content tailored to the local markets.
Tan Bin Ru, CEO of OneConnect Financial Technology, said the company just set up its regional headquarters in Singapore late last year and is excited at the “huge potential” the region brings when it comes to embracing new fintech solutions.
“We’re excited to be working with Happy Marketer to work on the branding for our international office and look forward to the new campaigns the team comes up with to help us succeed in this region,” Tan said.
Meanwhile, Happy Marketer’s director of social and brand storytelling, Teo Kah Min, said fintech is the next frontier of growth in powering digital economies and OneConnect is at the forefront in leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning in this region to streamline previously tedious financial processes.
“Through our data-driven storytelling approach, we are excited to help OneConnect establish their brand presence in Asia, which is pivotal for their success,” Teo added.
