Hong Kong-based seed capital investment firm Nest has secured Peter Dingle for a newly created role as director of branded accelerators. Dingle’s role at Nest will be to encourage major brands to see entrepreneurs and startups as complementary rather than disruptive. He will build on the success of the AIA Accelerator, a 12 week ‘Healthcare and wearable technology’ focused program supported by Asia’s largest independent insurance company, and secure the mentorship and resources to support the startups. FinTech and SmartCity Accelerators will follow in coming months. He joins Nest from Intel, where he led consumer brand and marketing strategy for its tablet and mobile divisions. “We are incredibly excited to welcome Peter to his new family at Nest. Peter brings enthusiasm, passion and experience to both brands and founders, required to grow our programmes globally,” said Simon Squibb, CEO of Nest. “His skillset will be a huge asset both to Nest and the broader start-up ecosystem in Hong Kong”.Nest focuses on investing seed capital and time in promising startups to help them scale. It has grown its team to 12 dedicated startup experts with the hiring of Dingle. He will join this fast growing team that empowers founders worldwide with the in-house strengths in marketing, strategy, and access to global industry networks and startup funding from Nest headquarters in Hong Kong.
