Pandan Social, a Malaysia-based digital marketing agency under Ruder Finn Group, has unveiled PandAI, a generative AI platform aimed at redefining how brands produce creative content.

Combining artificial intelligence (AI), 3D rendering, and multilingual capabilities, PandAI enables rapid production of visuals, videos, and storytelling assets at scale, offering brands a faster, more flexible, and cost-efficient approach to marketing production.

Named after the Malay word pandai, meaning “smart”, the platform allows businesses to generate cinematic-quality content in a fraction of the time required by traditional production methods. Daniel Woodroof, co-founder and CEO of Pandan Social, said, “With PandAI, we’re not just integrating AI, we’re redefining how creativity and technology intersect to serve brands."

"This platform gives businesses the tools to produce premium content that once required full studios and weeks of production, now created in hours and accessible to all," he added.

The platform’s capabilities are designed to serve multiple industries including e-commerce, F&B, beauty, and fashion. PandAI can transform a single product photo into a dynamic commercial, animate static visuals for high-conversion campaigns, produce 3D product simulations, create human-like AI avatars and hosts, and adapt content automatically for different languages and markets.

Brandon Lee, co-founder and COO, added, “For too long, high-end content production has been out of reach for smaller brands. With PandAI, that barrier disappears. We’re making cinematic-level storytelling accessible, affordable, and scalable.”

The launch marks a strategic evolution for Pandan Social, expanding from social media management into high-tech content innovation. This comes after the agency’s acquisition by the Ruder Finn Group in 2023, which strengthened its position in a global network while maintaining its creative agility and regional expertise. According to the agency, its achievements were recognised earlier this year with the Digital Agency of the Year award at Marketing-Interactive's Agency of the Year Awards, reflecting its expertise in AI integration and client growth.

Generative AI has been taking the limelight this quarter, with the launch of Sora 2, OpenAI's latest video generation model that boasts being more physically accurate, realistic, and more controllable than its prior systems. It also features synchronized dialogue and sound effects. Since its launch, social media has been buzzing with lifelike videos of Einstein playing basketball, Michael Jackson stealing chicken from a man in KFC, and Jake Paul trying on cosmetic products with super long acrylic nails.

Adding to the excitement, Elon Musk's xAI introduced Grok Imagine version 0.9, an upgrade to its AI platform focused on creating high-quality text, images, and videos, including virtual reality experiences and interactive narratives. This development closely follows OpenAI’s release of Sora 2, intensifying competition in AI-driven creative technologies.
