OzTAM has launched Streamscape, a new quarterly reporting tool that offers Australia's first independent, unified view of total video consumption across platforms and demographics.
The inaugural report, covering January to March 2025, shows free-to-air TV continues to dominate with a 61.5% share of total video viewing. BVOD services, including ABC iview, 7plus, 9Now, 10 Play and SBS On Demand, account for 8.4%, while digital video platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and YouTube make up the remaining 30.1%.
Available to paid subscribers, Streamscape offers a monthly snapshot of viewing to TV sets and will expand to include other connected devices, such as smartphones and tablets, in future releases.
OzTAM CEO Karen Halligan said the platform was a “game-changer” that brings much-needed clarity and consistency to the video measurement landscape.
“For the first time, agencies, marketers and media owners can access consistent, comparable data across platforms in a credible format,” Halligan said. “It’s a critical step toward more effective planning and a deeper understanding of how Australians engage with video.”
Streamscape is expected to transition into a fully digital, interactive dashboard in the first half of 2026, allowing users to drill down into viewing data and cross-reference performance by platform and audience segment.
