Regina Lee has stepped down from her role as head of group corporate communications at OSK Group after 1.5 years with the company. She first joined the property and investment conglomerate in March 2024, overseeing group-level communications and brand reputation.

In a LinkedIn post announcing her departure, Lee reflected on her time at the company as a period of intense growth and collaboration. “It wasn't a particularly long one, but it was one that was filled with a very steep learning curve, sleepless nights and countless memorable firsts,” she wrote. “Behind every challenge stood a team that trusted me to lead them, and management that gave me the space and confidence to try out some new ideas.”

Lee also expressed gratitude to her colleagues for their support throughout her tenure, adding, “To everyone in OSK, you have been so incredibly warm, supportive and open to me. As I take my steps on a new journey soon, I will always cherish the memories and friendships that I have built with the people of OSK. Once an OSKer, always an OSKer.”

Before joining OSK Group, Lee held several key communications roles across the corporate and public sectors. She was previously head of public relations at foodpanda Malaysia, where she built the PR function from the ground up and led major campaigns such as the launch of Bekal by foodpanda and a partnership with AirAsia MOVE. Prior to that, she spent over two years at UEM Sunrise as senior manager of PR and media, where she oversaw both external and internal communications, spearheading a revamp of the company’s employee engagement and media perception strategies.

Earlier in her career, Lee held consultancy roles at Enghok Communications and Edelman Malaysia, after spending four years as press secretary to the Youth and Sports Minister of Malaysia. She began her professional journey in journalism, having written for The Star, Malaysiakini and New Straits Times.

Malaysia's communications scene has witnessed a number of changes in the recent months. Telekom Malaysia (TM) has appointed Asril Idris as its new vice president of strategic communications, marking a significant return to the very division where he began his career 25 years ago. This follows the departure of Frank Chan as TM's GM of strategic communications, who later moved to Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as its new director of strategic communications.

In September, AEON Credit Service appointed Wan Laila Fatihah Wan Omar Sukri as its new general manager of group corporate communications and PR.
She previously led UEM Edgenta’s corporate communications function, where she rebuilt the department and steered brand visibility, ESG positioning, and stakeholder engagement across Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Separately in August, SIRIM, a government-owned company under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), appointed Shanizar Ahmad Shahar as its new general manager of corporate relations, reporting directly to the president and group chief executive officer.
