One FC strikes landmark China deal

ONE Fighting Championship has struck a blockbuster deal with event promoter AMC Live Group to hold a number of events across China. This partnership marks the entry of One FC into China, the world's most populous country and a hotspot for growth of the sport. One FC said it will hold an unprecedented 10 events a year in 10 different cities, starting with four events this year.AMC Live Group, launched in 2009, has expanded its business to encompass all components of live entertainment, from large-scale variety shows, fan clubs, artist management, corporate image planning and marketing, public relations, event planning and ticketing.Its concerts and tours includes Elton John, Faye Wong, Eason Chan, Jay Chou and Stefanie Sun.One FC CEO Victor Cui described the deal as one which will redefine the sport."China is the birthplace of martial arts like Sanda, Wushu and Kung Fu and there is a rich martial arts tradition. "ONE FC will be available to over one billion people in China alone and will bring adrenaline-pumping mixed martial arts action to 10 different cities across the country a year. One FC will hold its first event in Taiwan later next month is said to be eying an event in Hong Kong later this year.
