Omnicom Media Group has appointed James Dutton to lead the group’s search brand, Resolution, in the Asia Pacific region.
Dutton joins Resolution in the newly created role of managing director and will be based in Singapore, reporting to Lee Smith, CEO, Annalect APAC, Omnicom Media Group’s data-driven Marketing division.
He will lead Resolution teams across all markets in the Asia Pacific region and be responsible for growth, profitability, effectiveness and the development of new services.
Dutton was last at Possible Singapore, where he led the team at Asia Pacific Consulting Practice as principal consultant for the past three years. He has held senior strategy and analytics positions for agencies such as AKQA, XM Asia and OgilvyOne, prior to Possible.
Dutton has been in Singapore since 2003 and has had extensive experience of the Asia Pacific digital landscape, sitting on the I-COM Programme Board Emerging of Market Regions (APAC).
Smith said: “Resolution is playing a key role in our data and technology leadership in the region and strengthens our value proposition of delivering powerful business and data solutions.”
Last year, OMG appointed Marie Lo to lead the group’s search brand Resolution. Lo joined Resolution Hong Kong as platforms director, where she worked with the agency’s regional headquarters in Singapore to strengthen the group’s search and digital offering locally.
Resolution was acquired by Omnicom Media Group in 2005 and provides services in paid search, search engine optimisation, website optimisation and social content management.
