OMD's Yean joins UM as GM

IPG Mediabrands has appointed Jennifer Yean as general manager of UM.Yean has been in the media planning business for more than 15 years after starting her career at media research in JWT.Yean joins from OMD, where she headed one of the agency's largest clients, McDonald's. Prior to that she headed the DiGi account at Starcom and grew the business within three years.She has also been with Mindshare where she headed Maxus, a division of GroupM.Prashant Kumar, president of IPG Mediabrands, World Markets Asia describes Yean as a perfect addition to the UM family."Jennifer is one of the most exciting talents of her kind in the industry.
