OMD tipped to bag WDA media biz

The Singapore Workforce Development Agency has appointed OMD after a review it called in June this year, sources have told Marketing.The account was previously with ZenithOptimedia.According to the government tender OMD will be tasked to provide services of media strategy, consultancy, planning and purchase for advertising space in local media channels.OMD could not be reached for comments at the time of writing.WDA also appointed Y&R last year to create positive branding for its new Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system with employers and the workforce.WDA was formed on 1 September 2003 as a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower with a mission to enhance the employability and competitiveness of employees and job seekers.
