OMD has appointed media veteran Rachel Page as managing director of its Melbourne office, as the agency continues to evolve its leadership across key markets.
Page replaces Antonia Glezakos, who steps into a broader role within the Omnicom Group as executive partner at bespoke agency Smith St, which services Coles Group. Glezakos’ promotion follows a 16-year tenure at OMD, including four years leading the Melbourne business.
Page joins from Yahoo, where she served as general manager of sales, and previously held leadership roles at Seven West Media. With a career spanning 28 years, she brings experience across media strategy, transformation and commercial growth. She starts on March 31.
The appointment also coincides with the departure of OMD’s Kenny Stewart, who held senior roles across WA, Queensland and Victoria over an eight-year period. He played a key role in securing the Victorian Government master media account and expanding the Melbourne and Brisbane offices.
OMD Australia co-CEO Sian Whitnall thanked both Glezakos and Stewart for their contribution, noting the Melbourne office recently won Dental Boutique Group as a client.
“With a passion for nurturing talent and a strong network of relationships in this market, Rachel is the perfect leader to continue building on OMD Melbourne’s success,” she said.
Glezakos will continue to work closely with Smith St.’s executive leadership team, including Tristan Alexander, Psembi Kinstan and Matt Pearce, to drive growth for Coles Group.
“What a fabulous opportunity to lead and create what's next with the talented team at OMD. I’m excited to focus all my energy on my hometown of Melbourne and bring an energised approach to OMD’s market leading leadership, our teams and our clients,” Page said.
