OMD China has appointed Sadhan Mishra as managing director for its Shanghai office in order to strengthen its leadership team. Mishra will work closely with Aaron Wild, OMD China’s CEO, to ensure the Shanghai office continues its new business momentum, having won the media business for WH Group, Papadai, Toutiao and JD.com in 2018. Mishra will also oversee the agency’s service delivery and innovation for its new and existing clients, leveraging his extensive experience in managing global accounts for the network. Promoted from the role regional business director, Mishra joined the OMD network back in 2010 and has played a prominent role in managing international accounts out of Singapore, growing the agency’s operations in Indonesia, and most recently, leading McDonald’s business across APAC, the Middle East, and Africa. He has been instrumental in the addition of new markets for OMD’s remit on the McDonald’s business, as well as the network’s most recent retention of the account in China and Taiwan. His efforts to help McDonald’s advance its digital approach have earned global accolades for the brand, including the prestigious Gunn Report’s “Campaign of the Year’ title in 2018 for OMD Singapore’s ‘Capacity Based McDelivery’ campaign. Stephen Li, CEO of OMD APAC, said: “Sadhan is renowned among our global network and clients for his extensive experience and aptitude in 360-comms planning, his impressive track record of helping market-leading brands achieve fresh growth in their category is truly remarkable. To fill the Shanghai leadership role and ensure the agency continues its upward momentum, there could be no better candidate than Sadhan and we are delighted to be able to promote talent from within the network.”
