Ogilvy Malaysia CCO Adrian Miller departs after six years

Ogilvy Malaysia's chief creative officer Adrian Miller (pictured) has departed from the agency, after six years. He first joined Ogilvy as the CCO of Indonesia in 2018, before being appointed to lead the agency's Malaysian market in January 2022.
Confirming Miller's exit, Ogilvy said in an exclusive statement to A+M: "Adrian Miller, Ogilvy’s CCO in Malaysia, has resigned with immediate effect. It is his decision and it is unfortunate to lose him. We wish him well."
The agency did not provide a reason for the CCO's departure. A+M has reached out to Miller for more information.

A+M also learned that his departure was reportedly announced in a townhall after he resigned, and served his last day on 29 July (Tuesday). During his time with Ogilvy Malaysia, the agency had worked on creative campaigns for clients such as Cadbury, Scott's, Colgate, Petron and more.
Prior to joining Ogilvy, Miller was back in his native South African market running +27 Advertising for over five years as founding partner and executive creative director. He was also previously with J. Walter Thompson Worldwide as CCO in Delhi, and held the roles of executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi and MullenLowe Group in Malaysia.
Back in 2022, Miller was set to work closely with Singapore's chief creative officer Nicolas Courant to ensure both markets work together to capture the many creative opportunities presented by Ogilvy's network clients who operate in both markets, as part of Ogilvy's overall integrated strategy. In January that year, the agency integrated its Singapore and Malaysia offices to present one agency in two locations along with a new organisational structure.
Reed Collins, who was Ogilvy's chief creative officer for Asia at the time, said Miller was "a big reason" why Ogilvy's Jakarta office has improved greatly during his tenure. Miller had taken over the Malaysian CCO role from Kurt Novack, who made a return to Paris.
Earlier in May 2025, WPP had moved creative agency Grey under Ogilvy, shifting its current reporting structure from AKQA group. The move is aimed at strengthening collaboration and unlocking growth opportunities across the WPP network, according to internal memos obtained by A+M.
