Ogilvy Indonesia appoints new head of content

Ogilvy Indonesia has appointed Fernanado Sarael as its new head of content. In his new role, Sarael will help the agency grow its content offerings by accelerating its content delivery at the intersection of brand building, agility, and efficiency.

As head of content, Sarael will lead a team of over 30 composed of content strategists, designers and writers, a task he is familiar with having worked extensively with teams at Ogilvy Indonesia for the last four years. Before being promoted to head of content, Sarael  was business director at the agency. 

He led the Wyeth Nutrition business under Ogilvy as well as served as the training lead, spearheading capability upskilling and learning and development initiatives.

“Sarael has grown to be one of the most valuable business leaders in Ogilvy Indonesia. He has successfully led his team to deliver award-winning work for Wyeth Nutrition and is a driving force in continuously modernizing the digital capabilities of the Agency. I am delighted to expand his role to head our content studio offering and lead Ogilvy Indonesia to the next chapter of growth in this space,” said Group CEO Sieg Penaverde.

Prior to working at Ogilvy, Sarael worked as a client director at Lion & Lion. He has also held roles in top agencies sucgh as OMD Worldwide and McCann Worldgroup.

Sarael noted that he is looking forward to expanding his role at Ogilvy and boosting its content offerings alongside the team. 

Ogilvy Indonesia has been expanding its leadership teams as of late. Recently, it appointed Satish Ramanathan as its managing director to further strengthen its leadership team. Praditya Roy previously helmed the position of managing director. 

Ramanathan will be responsible to drive Ogilvy’s philosophy of “inspiring brands and people to impact the world”. Backed by the collection of culture-changing, value-driving ideas, he will be strengthening the relationship foundations of Ogilvy’s brands as well as steer the momentum of Ogilvy’s digital experience vertical. 

With over two decades of experience, Ramanathan joins Ogilvy after a long stint at MullenLowe Lintas Group, India, where he played multiple roles across India and Singapore and was leading their horizontal growth offerings including consulting, design, content and creative technology verticals as executive director.
