Here's a clever way for a retail outlet to use Pinterest. Fashion retailer Nordstrom is making shopping easier for women and men by labelling its ‘Top Pinned Items' on Pinterest to the in-store items.
Nordstrom is indeed putting the money where the mouth is with its philosophy ‘to offer the best customer experience possible', now by leveraging on social media to promote in-store purchases.
Pinterest uses photos to connect everyone in the world through the things they find interesting. In this case, it would be the items at Nordstrom.
With more than 4.5 million followers on Pinterest, Nordstrom is hitting the next level of retail by monetising its followers.
Nordstrom corporate affairs representative, Colin Johnson, commented on HuffPost, " Pinterest is our fastest growing social channel so we wanted to integrate the feedback that we're getting from our Pinterest community."
Now that this trend is catching customers' attention, will other retail brands follow suit?
