Nokia Malaysia has collaborated with PersonEdge to launch an online reality show in search for the most influential online personality in Malaysia.
The Influencer is due to air 6 December on Lowyat.NET, reaching its one million unique visitors.
The competition will feature online personalities from lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food, dance, and technology industries.
Choo Mei Sze, co-founder and managing director of PersonEdge says that everyone wants to be a part of ‘new media’ but do not have the right strategy to operate and promote their brands through the medium.
“The only method was to promote through online advertisements, which has created clutter within the medium, causing its effectiveness to decline,” says Choo.
Contestants include Cheeserland, Vernon Chan, Ben Ashaari, Kelly Chi, Rebecca Saw, Ami Schaheera, Karen Kho, Jacklyn Gan, Ah Bok and dancer Chris Ooi. All competitors will use the Nokia Lumia 1520 to coarse through six different challenges throughout the programme.
