Nintendo embraces online gaming Japan's Nintendo has launched a social and content network called Miiverse for its latest version of the Wii, the Wii- U. The online strategy mimics that of rivals such as Sony Corp and Apple Inc. Miiverse lets users communicate with other players in real-time using the Wii U Game Pad.Scoot offers iPads Scoot has added iPads to its list of offerings to budget long-haul travelers after eliminating more than two tones of entertainment equipment to save fuel. These tablets reportedly cut 7% off the weight of planes while increasing the seating capacity by 40%. Scoot will be charging economy passengers SG$22 a trip to rent the tablets loaded with entertainment content. It will loan the iPads free to those flying in business-class.Park Hotel Group appoints new VP Park Hotel Group has appointed Melvin Lim as vice president, tasked to oversee the performance of the Group's portfolio of hotels in Greater China, including Grand Park Kunming, Grand Park Wuxi, Grand Park Xian and Park Hotel Hong Kong. Lim will work closely with the respective general managers and various corporate management team members to enhance revenue and profits.
