Nikon has appointed R/GA Singapore as its global digital agency following a pitch. The scope of work covers online campaigns and content creation across Nikon’s full product range. This also includes the creation of a long-term road map of strategic and digital thought-leadership. Regions the appointment covers include the US, Europe and APAC markets.
According to Birgitta Olson, general manager, global marketing and research strategy division, imaging business unit, Nikon Corporation, the brand sought collaborators with global presence and outlook. It also looked for an agency with an ability to develop products, services and culturally-relevant communications, and experience in driving digital transformation.
"R/GA Singapore has all those credentials, and more. We are excited to be partnering with them,” Olson added.

Last year, the brand appointed Zenith as its regional media agency, which includes markets such as SEA and ANZ and the appointment is for a period of one year. This appointment came a year after Zenith won the media planning and buying account for Singapore market.
