New women’s magazine to hit Malaysian market

Mongoose Publishing is launching Women’s Health Malaysia, a fitness and lifestyle magazine for women. The magazine will debut its first issue nationwide in March 2015.

A spokesperson from Mongoose Publishing said that the company is currently interviewing candidates for the editor role and will make an official announcement in due time. She added that currently no plans have been made for auditing the magazine but the magazine said that the magazine will “reveal full distribution and circulation information ahead of our March 2015 launch.”

“ Women’s Health is a magazine for all ladies who want to look and feel better. This means we’ll be keeping themes broad and accordingly. We will not be targeting any one vertical market when it comes to advertisements. Women’s Health is about giving the readers the tools they need for instant, positive changes in their lives. As such, we look forward to working with brands with similar goals in providing that positive platform for women across all female masses, from beauty and travel to style and fitness,” she said.

She also added that several brands have already expressed interest in the magazine.

Women’s Health is a brand owned by Rodale Inc. (USA), currently has 28 editions across 51 countries. It claims to reach more than 22 million readers every month. Launched in 2005, Women’s Health is targeted at active women with a focus on living a balanced lifestyle in today’s society.
