Netflix names APAC marketing lead

Netflix has promoted Taka Osaki, its VP head of Japan marketing to take on the role of VP -head of Asia Pacific Marketing at Netflix APAC.

According to his LinkedIn, Osaki (pictured) took on the role in January this year to Start up and Launch Netflix’s initiatives. He will oversee strategy, campaign, brand, content, creative and digital initiatives. He has been with Netflix since March 2014.

Prior to his role with Netflix he was at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies for a short stint. He also worked as director of brand communications at Nike Japan for four years and held the director of corporate communication position at Apple Japan for three years before that.

Marketing understands Netflix currently works with TSLA as its creative agency and MSL as its PR agency. When previously contacted, both agencies declined to confirm the appointment.
