Nestlé names Eugene Chan new communications and marketing lead

Nutrition company Nestlé Malaysia Berhad has brought on board new director of communications and marketing, Eugene Chan. The role was previously held by Khoo Kar Khoon who has since joined Media Chinese International (MCIL).Previously, Chan was the director of communications and marketing excellence for the Indochina region at Nestlé Thailand. Having joined Nestlé as brand manager in 2003, he has worked in various marketing, sales and communications roles across global offices including Australia, New Caledonia and Switzerland.The company has also named Eliza Mohamed as director of group corporate affairs. She was the group head of corporate affairs and sustainability at Maybank. On top of that, she was also the group general manager of corporate communications at Media Prima, an integrated media group in Malaysia.These appointments are in line with the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen the group’s communication and reputation-building efforts.Most recently,  Nestle Malaysia tied up with online retailers Lazada and 11street to launch its wellness electronic stores on both their online shopping platforms. It is aiming to generate RM500 million in revenue from its e-commerce business within the next few years, said several media reports.
