Malaysians relished in their "newfound fame" recently after coming across the "Verified" badge on their profile page in the MySejahtera app. As we all know, the "Verified" label and tick are commonly associated with famous individuals and achieving this status on MySejahtera certainly tickled some netizens.
In a tweet, the Ministry of Health explained that a verified account ensures that the features within the MySejahtera app can be fully used. For example, users might not be able to view their vaccination certificates if their account has yet to be verified. It also urged users to confirm their MySejahtera if they have yet to do so.

Netizens took to Twitter to express their joy and sense of humour, with some touting the fact that they have made it simply because their MySejahtera profile is verified.

At the same time, the health ministry also reminded Malaysians that the link to book appointments for vaccinations is now open to all, and this can be done via the MySejahtera app. However, the account has to be verified. MySejahtera was developed by the Malaysian government to manage COVID-19 outbreaks within the country. It allows users to perform health self-assessments on themselves and their families. Users can also monitor their health progress throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. As of 23 March 4:38 am, Malaysia has 21k new local COVID-19 cases and 394 imported cases. The country also witnessed 907 COVID-19-related deaths the past 14 days.
