Much ado about 12/12/12

Malaysia - If 21 December has people prepping for doomsday, 12 December has taken a lighter approach, with many online companies out to grab attention.

Sister e-commerce ventures Zalora Malaysia, Lazada and foodpanda.my have launched their ‘12/12/12 Awesome Deals Day! Campaign', offering deals just on this day.

Cashing in on the 12-effect, Zalora is giving out 12% discounts, picking the top 12 spenders and giving out RM120 cash vouchers.

Not stopping just there, 12 times the points are up for grabs with 120 new arrival products out at 12.12 noon.

Food delivery website foodpanda.my on the other hand, is celebrating its ten months of operation by offering free deliveries for a week to hungry customers who order on this day.

Not leaving itself behind, Lazada is also picking 12 customers today, to give out Apple iPod Shuffles.

To managing director of Zalora Malaysia Wee Jonn, foodpanda Malaysia marketing director Sidney Ng and Lazada Malaysia managing director Mahmoud Fouz, this marks the first time all three ventures have come together in a joint promotion, making the once in a century offer all the more iconic.

Besides online brands cashing on the iconic date, Poh Kong got a head start with the launch of its campaign ‘Make Love Memoirs'.

The brand went on a mission to look for 12 couples with the most heart-warning and original love declarations.

Today, the brand will be seen giving those couples the opportunity to propose in a hot air balloon.

The next iconic date that will have significant impact is surely to be 21 December. I guess only time will tell which companies decide to leverage on it.
