MTR has launched a new chapter of its "Hong Kong stories 2.0" initiative, partnering with local heritage brand Hoe Hin White Flower Embrocation (和興白花油) to bring cross-generational memories and local creativity into MTR station shops.

The partnership builds on decades of MTR and Hoe Hin White Flower Embrocation accompanying Hong Kong people, witnessing lifestyle changes across generations.

The six-month pop-up is themed around Hoe Hin White Flower Embrocation's 100th anniversary, bringing together classic products, brand stories, limited-edition collaborations and interactive experiences in a dedicated brand space within the MTR station shop.

The store's design has drawn on the brand's classic green and white colours, using a retro dark green and white palette with neon light elements to create a setting that is both classic and contemporary.

The pop-up store brings together classic products, brand stories, limited-edition collaborations and interactive experiences in a dedicated brand space within the MTR station shop. The new roll-on and GoodDay essential oil roll-on bars keep the brand's familiar formulation and experience while offering fresh options for daily use.

A range of limited-edition merchandise is also launching in-store for the first time, including Y2K phone straps and character keychains that work familiar brand elements into everyday lifestyle items.

Expanding the space where classic brands and local creativity meet, MTR and Hoe Hin White Flower Embrocation have teamed up with three local creative units to reimagine the brand's familiar green-and-white palette and signature symbols as Gen Z lifestyle items that blend playfulness with practicality, creating a "buy, play, make" immersive experience.

This includes a 100th anniversary apparel collection with local streetwear brand GROCERY, turning familiar brand elements into street-style clothing.

MTR and Hoe Hin White Flower Embrocation have also joined hands with Hong Kong original design brand TEAM GREEN on a range of 100th anniversary lifestyle items with Hong Kong character, including night lights, keychains, magnets and small ornaments designed for collecting, gifting and daily use.

There is also a DIY zone with Pretty Useless Club, offering a range of fidget stress-relief items. Customers who purchase anything in-store can put together their own stress-relief keychain, making their creativity part of the anniversary keepsake.

Don't miss: MTR Shops launches February celebration for football and anime enthusiasts

Last year, the "Hong Kong Stories" series recreated Hong Kong life scenes such as cinemas, grocery stores, barber shops and ice cafes across five MTR stations, including "Central Theatre" and "Hong Kong Ice Cafe" at Hong Kong Station. Through familiar settings and objects, passengers could experience and share local culture during their journeys.

This year, MTR is working with established local brands to bring brand stories, cross-brand collaborations and interactive experiences into MTR station shops, allowing passengers to explore shared memories across generations through familiar Hong Kong elements.

Through this space that different generations pass through, MTR aims to let passengers discover new surprises on every trip, making stations more than just stops for waiting or transferring - but a platform connecting city stories with everyday life.
