Chakrabarty said it is an honour and also an enormous responsibility to be elected as the president representative of the media industry of the country, especially so during such unprecedented and difficult times for the industry and economy at large.

"The pandemic has further underscored the importance of our collective thinking and the heightened role that we can play as an industry. We as the elected representatives would strive to do our best to further the interests of the marketing communications industry by leading our association to be more diverse and future-ready as we emerge into the post-Covid path to recovery. Last but not the least, we would like to extend many thanks to Yap for his leadership in the last two terms as president," he added.
