MSA elects Bala Pomaleh and Dheeraj Raina to leadership roles

The Media Specialists Association (MSA) has appointed Bala Pomaleh (pictured left), CEO, IPG Mediabrands Malaysia as its newly elected president and Dheeraj Raina (pictured right), CEO – media, dentsu Malaysia as its vice president. They succeed Chanchal Chakrabarty, GroupM Malaysia's CEO, and Darren Yuen, Initiative's and BPN's CEO.
The association’s other office bearers are treasurer Wong Pi Yee, head of media, Publicis Media, and secretary Vanitha Selvathurai, partner, head of Carat. The council is represented by Ampersand Advisory, Invictus Blue, MediaEdge:CIA, Mindshare Group, OMD Malaysia, Seed Integrated Malaysia, Trapper Media Services, and Universal McCann.
Pomaleh said the last two years have provoked great changes in the media scene, yet the industry has also seen immense scope for innovation and growth of new technologies.
"I am happy to contribute to the industry in this capacity so we can work through our common challenges, namely, to grow and expand our talent base and elevate new capabilities and skills in line with client needs," he said. According to him, this can only happen through close collaboration with my industry peers and those across related industry bodies. "I look forward to us building greater cohesiveness in guidelines and practices for the industry," he added.
