MRM//McCann beefs up Beijing management team

In order to further consolidate its industry-leading position, McCann China has announced the appointment of Sheng Lee (pictured left) to MRM//McCann Beijing as managing partner. He will lead a team to provide creative communications and innovative solutions for the chipmaker Qualcomm in the China market.

Originally from Singapore, Lee was with IBM for seven years, with experience marketing and boasting technical expertise. With 18 years of experience in the field of digital advertising and technology, Lee has accumulated a wide range of industry experience in markets including Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China, serving clients such as IBM, Qualcomm, Siemens and Hewlett-Packard.

Commenting on the appointment, managing director of MRM//McCann China, Mike Zeng said: “Sheng’s passion for technology and curiosity about the future of technology gives him good insight and a steady stream of inspiration, helping him to better understand, develop and solve our client’s problems. We are very pleased that he is joining the McCann family. We believe that his appointment will help grow and expand our Beijing business.”

Meanwhile, Bin Li joined MRM//McCann Beijing from DDB Guoan as group creative director.

McCann has been growing and expanding its Beijing team with Steven Hua and Richard Wang joining the agency as general manager and creative partner respectively last September.
