Ronald Ng has departed MRM after nearly six years as the agency's global chief creative officer.

Ng announced his departure in a LinkedIn post, thanking former MRM leaders Kate MacNevin, Bill Kolb and Rob Reilly for hiring him in 2020, as well as MRM's teams across its offices.

Ng joined MRM as global CCO in December 2020. In the role, he worked with clients including United States Postal Service, Opella, Sanofi, McDonald's, Samsung, Cigna, Mastercard, GM, Corebridge and Cisco.

In his post, Ng said his time at MRM had come to an end, adding that he was leaving the agency "with pride, and a tonne of gratitude".

He also pointed to the work produced during his tenure, saying MRM had committed to doing its "best work on the biggest brands" and that the agency had achieved several awards.

Before MRM, Ng was global chief creative officer at Isobar from 2018 to 2020. He previously held global creative leadership roles at Digitas, including global CCO, as well as senior creative positions at BBDO.

Ng's career includes more than three decades in advertising, having started as a copywriter at J. Walter Thompson in Malaysia in 1994, according to his LinkedIn. He has also held creative leadership roles at BBDO/Proximity Malaysia and Singapore, Saatchi & Saatchi, Bozell and McCann Worldgroup.

Ng said he will now take some time to travel with his wife before returning to work.

A+M has reached out for more information.

His departure comes as MRM continues to shape its global leadership team under global CEO Grant Theron, who took over the role in 2024. Since then, the agency has made several senior appointments, including Tommy San George as global chief growth officer in June 2025, Jon Taylor as its first global chief data officer, and Gareth Osborne as chief technology officer, MRM Europe & UK.
