Mox Bank has appointed Haymans Fung as chief customer officer, effective from 4 August 2021.

Fung replaces Peony Wu, who joined Accenture Interactive as managing director, marketing advisory lead for Greater China. In Fung's new position, she is responsible for building and enhancing the customer experience for Mox Bank, and her role covers brand proposition development, customer experience design, marketing and analytics.

Boasting more than 19 years of experience in building close connections between brands and customers, Fung believes in combining data with insights, using technology and creativity to create compelling customer propositions and brands. Prior to joining Mox, she spent nine years at Sun Life and AIA, focusing on making insurance services relevant and meaningful to the community. The first decade of her career was in advertising, working for global agencies such as Leo Burnett and Publicis, where she devised many marketing campaigns for global brands.

She said, “I’m thrilled to be joining at this exciting time and playing my part in developing a customer offering that delivers not only outstanding value, but also best-in-class experiences. I’m a big believer in financial inclusion and sustainability, and I’m also excited to pursue innovative partnerships and new ways of engaging with customers and stakeholders with solutions that’ll benefit them. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to make Mox the leading virtual bank in Hong Kong.”

Deniz Güven, CEO of Mox, also commented: “Fung's appointment comes at a time where we are mapping out our customer proposition and enhancing our customer engagement even more. She brings with her significant insights and experiences into building winning brands and shaping customer experience with the help of innovative technologies. I’m confident Fung will take Mox to reach new heights in delighting our customers and continue to drive our brand purpose meaningfully.”
