Mothercare Malaysia is on the search for a head of marketing to develop and manage marketing programmes for its online and offline channels, support business objectives, lead acquisition, foster customer retention, and executive business development. According to the LinkedIn job post, the ideal candidate has experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns while managing and inspiring a team. He or she will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy.

Additionally, the appointed individual will establish brand positioning, identify target audiences and develop marketing plans to drive business objectives across different channels and segments. He or she will also analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis and marketing best practices to build successful strategies. The individual will also need to partner with the creative team and other internal stakeholders, external agencies and vendors.

Other daily and monthly responsibilities include working in partnership with different business units, develop creative briefs, manage content and updates for customer and internal touchpoints, identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives, as well as gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies.

The ideal candidate should have five years of sales and marketing experience in key accounts or regional roles, preferably from the retail industry, as well as experience with marketing automation and CRM tools.
