Moses heads to Sapura from Ogilvy

Former senior advisor and group director of business development for Ogilvy Malaysia Rajan Moses has left the agency for Sapura group.Effective this week, Moses takes on the role of senior general manager for public relations, tasked with maintaining media relations and positioning the company and its CEO through various marketing communications initiatives.Hoping to use the experience gathered from his media and marketing communications roles to benefit his new employer, Moses will report directly to group CEO Dato' Seri Shahril Shamsuddin."I have been handling client servicing for some time now. I'm happy to take up this challenging and exciting role and want to focus on doing the best using my past experiences," said Moses.He joined Ogilvy PR in January 2008 as its managing director, tasked with building the agency's reputation and customer base within PR, before taking on the senior role for the group in April 2010.During his tenure with Ogilvy, he saw several clients come on board including government-linked companies like Bernas and UEM Land.Prior to his venture into PR, Moses held several editorial positions including his 20 years with Reuters in markets like US, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore, his nine years with Bernama and three years with The Star.He was also the Business Times editor for New Straits Times, where he spent four years before joining Ogilvy PR.
