Mobext Philippines goes to Twitter with their global fund raising program for typhoon relief efforts in the Philippines in partnership with World Vision. The “Tweet to Donate” campaign has been asking Twitter users globally for donations since last week to raise about US$ 5000 by 29 November.Donors need to visit the website http://mobext.com/donate and log in with their Twitter account to drop their contributions via credit card. Three donation options are offered using three different hash tags. A tweet is sent out from the donors account once the payment details are keyed in, which helps in spreading the word around.“This is our small way of showing commiseration for the typhoon victims. We are promoting this program internally within the group and externally amongst our partners and associates using our social media platforms. We think that in keeping with our groups Meaningful Brands proposition, this was the right moment to use our expertise in technology and develop an easy to use to program to raise funds,” Arthur Policarpio, CEO of Mobext Asia Pacific said.
