Mobext, the mobile marketing arm of the Havas Media Group, has launched a new blog to keep local marketers up-to-date with mobile marketing.
Called Marketing Unwired, it was first revealed as a separate news site last year featuring tips, how-to’s, case studies, special reports and experts’ columns.
Authored by the staff of Mobext Philippines, the agency said it will be shifting its focus from the APAC region to more local stories to “provide deeper mobile learning.”
“One of the biggest barriers keeping local marketers from investing in mobile is a lack of understanding of the medium,” said Arthur Policarpio, Head of Mobext Asia Pacific.
“They seem to be intimidated it, especially with the fast developments happening in the field. Through our new blog, we want to break down that barrier so they can find their footing and start discovering the rich opportunities in mobile marketing,” he adds.
Mobext has been prioritizing mobile marketing education since last year. It has co-organized two industry events—the CMO Mobile Summit and the Mobile Festival 2013—as well as the online learning program, the Mobile Marketing Academy.
