Mm2 Entertainment has collaborated with eight digital content producers (DCPs) to commission a slate of original online content such as mini-movies and web series. This content will be released on the DCPs' own channels and other digital platforms which will be announced at a later date.
The DCPs include local Youtube channels Butterworks, Cheokboard Studios, Ridhwan Azman, Dr. Jiajia, JUO Productions, Evalee Lin, reality web-series Ghost Files Singapore and Urban Xtreme Monkeys.
The pioneer group of eight DCPs has a range of styles from romance, action, comedy, drama to reality series. Under this collaboration, the DCPs will continue to produce work for their own channels under the common banner of “Mm2 Digital Content Producers”.
To provide more opportunities to produce content outside of short-form content, Mm2 Entertainment will also offer them further development opportunities such as acting, singing, writing, directing through its regular slate of movies.
“We’re very impressed with the creativity, resourcefulness and passion of these local digital content producers. They’re the present and future of content production, and together, I’m sure we’re able to leverage on each other’s strengths to create even more compelling and commercially viable content to attract viewers wherever they are,” Melvin Ang, CEO of Mm2 Asia, said.
